World’s first ‘table pc’ is here!

No! We are not talking about ‘tablet pc’; we are talking about Lenovo’s Table PC.

This table pc can lie flat on any surface, and the screen is designed in such a way that it can be used by two or more people at the same time. It is a 24 inch device which works on windows 8 operating system. This table pc will be announced in January during the consumer electronics show in Las Vegas. This table pc is called as ‘Idea Centre Horizon table pc’.

Idea Centre Horizon table pc takes advantage of touch based features offered by windows 8 operating system; this helps the table pc to support touch screen multi-player gaming. Its screen can be easily transformed into a 27 inch high performance desktop. This tablet offers Dolby home theatre v4 audio with NVIDIA GeForce graphics.

Lenovo’s product group’s president Peter Hortensius said during a press conference that -with the help of Idea Centre Horizon- many people can enjoy different videos, music and photos on the same screen. He also said that multiple users would be able to play games using special accessories which can blend physical and digital interaction.

Lenovo is also planning to offer a table called- Horizon Multimode Table with this table pc. Users can also change the height and angle of the pc from flat to straight up, or wall like mount at 90 degrees.

The only negative point about Idea Centre Horizon table pc seems to be its battery life, currently it offers 2 hours of battery life. This device seems to be more like a TV set or pc which always needs to be connected to a wall socket.

This table pc will be available by summer 2013 for $ 1,699.
