One of New York’s most preferred plastic surgeons, Dr Yoel Shahar, interacted with journalists and revealed something weird. Usually, Christmas is busiest time of the year for Santa, and shopping centers. However, now even plastic surgeons are as busy as Santa! These days, women are asking their loved ones to pay for rhinoplasty, and breast implants as Christmas gift.
According to Dr. Yoel Shahar, people prefer to opt for surgeries during Christmas. The holiday season offers a lot of time for people to undergo various procedures, and recover from its side-effects.
Tom Seery is the founder of “Realself,” a website that offers information about cosmetic procedures. Tom recently interacted with media and said people are comfortable with face related surgeries due to their global acceptance. He also highlighted the point that around 15 million people in the United States underwent cosmetic surgeries in 2013.
Realself also conducted a survey to understand people’s opinion about accepting surgery expenses as Christmas gift. Survey’s results indicate that 75 percent of women received money for cosmetic procedures from spouse or loved ones.
As per information released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the cost for face lift was around $6,556 in 2013. While the cost for breast implements was around $3,678.
