Richard Dean Anderson’s super-hit TV series MacGyver not just attracted Americans during its re-runs, but it has generated considerable fan following in the UK as well as Asian countries. Now, the TV show is back in the headlines as CBS is planning to reboot the show.

According to reports, this time, MacGyver would work as part of secret government organization. As usual, the character is expected to use unconventional ways to solve various problems, and to stop villains.

Furious 7’s director James Wan is the new show’s executive producer.  Henry Winkler and Michael Clear are also on board as executive producers.

The original MacGyver was broadcast on ABC, and seven seasons of this show were produced. Even today, the show’s YouTube videos register thousands of new views every day. Now everyone is excited to know about the young actor who would try to fit in Richard Dean Anderson’s shoes soon.
