Google won this case!

A Frenchman had taken Google to court over a photo published online by Google’s Street View application showing him urinating in his front yard which he believes has made him the laughing stock of his village in rural northwest France.

French court ruled that the man should have taken a case against the US parent company Google Inc, which published the photo, and not Google France. He was ordered to pay legal costs equivalent to about US$1500 to Google for bringing forward a “badly prepared” case.

Google’s Street View cars have captured some interesting things in their time – from dead bodies to angry mobs, this time they captured pics of a Frenchman urinating in his front yard.
