You have reached this post because you are one of the millions of Barney Miller show fans.
Let me guess. You have thoroughly scanned Wiki and IMDB pages for most of the Barney Miller episodes, haven’t you?
The post focuses on superb dialogues from the Call Girl chapter (S7, E6). The episode is one of the three featuring Paul Lieber as Det. Sgt. Eric Dorsey.
Sgt. Ron Harris receives a call from a nearby hotel concerning a hooker-related disturbance at their bar. He leaves for the bar with Sgt. Eric Dorsey (Paul Lieber).

Harris returns with two women prostitutes and a man.
Christine Scott (Nancy Bleier), Lenore DuBois (Sarina Grant), and Ray Athens (Paul Kent). Presumably, Ray created a disturbance at the bar when Christine rejected his advances and insisted on getting her appointment first.
And yes, Dorsey brings young Rhonda Haleck (Tasha Zemrus).

As pointed out by critics, these three prostitutes are sarcastic, smart, and stylish. They remind me of interesting findings highlighted by psychologist and author Satoshi Kanazawa in his column published by Psychology Today. Some prostitutes are intelligent and educated. Thus, treating them as one undifferentiated, monolithic entity is a mistake.

Dialogues in this episode were written as a mix of fiction and fact. The following ones worked as emotional triggers for me.
Lenore DuBois-
“You may be hot stuff now. But you get a few pounds and a few wrinkles, and they ain’t exactly going to be lining up for your hips either.”
Sgt. Eric Dorsey-
“Make one mistake. Give me as much as impure thoughts. And I will be on you like an ugly on an ape.”
Detective Arthur P. Dietrich:-
“I just decided to put unnecessary things like women and sex on hold for the next year or two.”
“A lot of people, including myself, just feel that abstention has a purifying effect on your mind and spirit. It allows you to redirect your energy to more productive and meaningful activities.”
Written by Frank Dungan and Jeff Stein and directed by Noam Pitlik, the episode highlights the disturbing child prostitution issue.
And by the way, Tasha Zemrus (Rhonda) is not active in the industry. Also, Nancy Bleier (Christine) and Sarina C. Grant (Lenore) are no longer with us.
