During the French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Washington in April this year, he and Trump had planted a tree at the White House’s ground as a symbol of the special relationship that Washington has with France. However, the tree allegedly went missing, and several reports were published about the same.
But now, the mystery has been solved, thanks to the officials from the French President’s office. According to the report published by the Reuters, The White House experts believed the tree had parasites on it which could spread everywhere inside the White House. Thus, it had to be placed in quarantine for a few days.
The French president brought the concerned tree from France’s Belleau Wood located at the Belleau village which is famous as American Battle Monument. Around 2,000 American soldiers had died at the location during World War One.
“President Trump had allowed Macron to plant a tree during his visit as a special goodwill gesture. The tree is in quarantine and is doing very well. It will be replanted soon,” said the official from Emmanuel Macron’s office.
