WPP’s Chief Executive Officer, Martin Sorrell recently interacted with media. He shared his opinion about Prime Minister Modi and several other issues.
On being asked about his opinion regarding recent incidents of communal violence in India, Martin Sorrell pointed out that every country has its own set of problems. Europe is facing issues caused due to Syrian migrants and also the Ukrainian dispute. The US is facing violence due to its own gun laws, and the country is constantly witnessing mass shootings at college and school campuses, people are mercilessly killed.
While sharing his experience regarding interaction with Prime Minister Modi, Sorrell pointed out that it is easy to criticize, but running country like India is not an easy task. India is diverse country, and all 29 states have their own identity.
He believes that Modi is strong leader with great vision for India. His popularity is the same as it was a year ago, during Lok Sabha elections.
Sorrell is positive about India’s future, and he shared his opinion that India would be third largest country after the US, and China in next 25 years. He also highlighted the point that India has grown a lot since last two decades, and Modi would take the growth further with public and private partnership. The country is full of opportunities.
